So we were watching Star Trek:TNG during dinner and this weird perfume commercial started playing and then Conrad decided it needed some honest rebranding and it all went downhill from there.
My right hand’s still messed up, so this one was done 100% left-handed. Y’know. To make it sexier.
anyway, sorry. sorry everyone.

Prakin’ Theon. Fanart Fridayyyy
OH HEY HEADS UP, spoilers for ASoIaF: The Winds of Winter. This was drawn back when the Theon sample chapter went up last year (which seems to have disappeared off the internet) and I fiddled the thing into a readable state after my buddy Chelsea asked me to dig it up.
Now that the Beast is slain, maybe I’ll try to do more Fanart Fridays in the future? I’ve been meaning to draw some Vattu fanart for ages.

Redesign: Stormy from Rainbow Brite. photoshop.
Ohh noooohh, we watched Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealers the other day and I kinda mentioned wanting to do this on twitter and then the idea festered until I did it. And Stormy and Skydancer are the best. It’s awesome to see how much Rainbow Brite has influenced Adventure Time! I know I was super into the show as a kid but don’t remember a lick of it.
This one’s dedicated to Ross Campbell, whose art I’ve been perusing heavily lately. Check out his Jem redesigns if you haven’t already!

ME3 Fan-Comic, alternate ending.
Guess that’s why you need all those holo-pads or whatever, they’ll translate all those weird squiggles for you.

Mass Effect 3 Epilogue Comic. Fanart Friday. Pencil, photoshop.
(Warning for Spoilers and Yuko Bein’ A Huge Nerd) Oh dang, it happened. Magnolia and I might’ve made a pact a while back to do some seriously heartfelt ME3 comics. I’ve been going back and forth over whether or not to post this thing. Guess it’s too late now! You all know my terrible fan-comic secret.
I’m gonna nerd for a bit here, feel free to zone out. After reading the Shadow Broker dossier on Garrus — about his natural leadership abilities being overshadowed by Shepard — I was actually surprised to see him as a squad member in ME3 and not already traipsing around with his own band of ducklings. And lacking a formal XO on the Normandy in ME3, it felt as though Garrus informally took that role. His taking command of the Normandy (a ship with both Human and Turian origins) kind of seems natural to me.
And man, Liara. After seeing her full arc over the series, I’ve come to really love her and what she represents. Originally being historian and archaeologist from a ridiculously long-lived race on TOP of being literally the only character who can’t somehow die by the end of the series, Liara becomes this living time-capsule. She becomes the embodiment of the trinity of past, present and future. It’s fascinating.
I tried to make the language and imagery vague enough apply to anyone’s Shepard with any love interest and any ending— unless, y’know, Garrus died in ME2. A-anyway, this was partially inspired by Marian Churchland’s beautiful ME3 comic (which can be found here if you scroll down a bit). She’s tops.

The first official collaboration between Yuko Ota and myself. I made the mistake of sitting her in front of my computer last night to doodle and she started drawing this amazingly trashy romance cover. Instead of moving on with our lives, however, together we put together this picture. I apologize to all of humanity for it.
Most of the line art is Yuko and most of the colors are mine. Also, the contorted spine is very much intentional.
So, this is a thing that happened last night? I’ve been threatening to draw Kim and Balthazar in a romance novel cover for a while now, and then Aaron told me to draw something on his cintiq, and then I did, and then I Aaron and I were hanging out until 2AM finishing it… so, uh.
oh my god radnar what are you doing, stop that

2011 Monthly Art Meme: Terrible Version. (click “high res” for animation, or go here)
Y-yeah, I guess I drew some less respectable art, too. August’s picture was only ever posted on twitter, but guess I had to go rectify that.
Welllllp.

I, uh. what.
There have been some pretty sweet Mass Effect things popping up on my dash lately, mostly involving Poupon and Ghost Green and I drew this a few days ago I think in response to something Poupon posted but it’s hard to say.
I’m not going to have much to post this week, maybe up until Christmas or so? Things are pretty hectic over here and there hasn’t been not much time to do fun stuff. Sorry in advance! Please feel free to entertain yourself with my fairly extensive archive or Mass Effect fanart tag in the meantime. (or ASoIaF fanart tag or nostalgia monday tag or pantheon tag or Groc Brostar tag…)

Fanar—- er, Meta Friday?
(Ladies too, although female characters seem to undergo redemption arcs less frequently. Not to discredit the lovely Xenas and Emma Frosts of the world.)
I found this nonsensical script in my sketchbook the other day and just kinda ran with it. I think it stemmed from a conversation about Jaime Lannister? Redemption arcs are probably the #1 way to worm into my heart. “Reformed badguy” has always been my favorite character trope, ever since my dad plunked me down in front of some untranslated bootlegs of Dragonball Z in an attempt to teach me Japanese via osmosis. (Protip: It does not work like this. Although I came out of the whole ordeal thinking that Vegeta was the Coolest Dude, so that’s something.)
A-anyway, I really should go and do some actual work.

Dhio’s Diary Comic: Day 1. Oh god what am I doing
Oh sure, the first time I put these guys in a comic it’s a parody. Jeez, priorities.
Someone on Twitter requested a Beast-God Diary Comic and I started cackling and was unable to do real work until I made this. 8|
