Adventure Time Cover!  Photoshop.

Oh mans you guys, the next round of Adventure Time covers were announced!  And I did one!  Marceline and the Scream Queens by Meredith Gran is coming out next month and I couldn’t be more excited! (though my cover won’t be coming out ‘til September)

I recently bought a giant book of gig posters and wanted to do something in that heavily designed, kind of dirty screen-printed style.  It was such a blast putting this together!

The poster to the left is the final version, and the one on the right is a more sinister alt.

Unused Little Red Riding Hood Character Designs.  Photoshop. A long while back, I was approached to do a Little Red Riding Hood book.  The project wound up falling through, which is too bad, because it was something I was really looking forward to.  But the character designs remain, as do the final page thumbnails.  Maybe some day I’ll do it on my own.

Benign Kingdom Cover.  Photoshop. Hey so, if you’ve ever looked through this blog and thought you’d like an artbook from me, here’s your chance!  Becky, KC, Evan, and myself just put up a Kickstarter for a series of art books called Benign Kingdom.  Each of us did our cover and poster art with the theme “benign kingdom,” and I had to take the chance to draw Kaia and Dhio. Watch the video while you’re there, you can see me nervously fidgeting around a bunch and holding a kitten!

We are having a release party on Friday the 13th, I’m sure that’s not ominous at all We’re having a release party for Johnny Wander Vol. 2 tomorrow at Bergen St. Comics if you are in the NYC area!  Lela made a jillion chocolate chip and vegan peanutbutter cookies and there will be free drinks and stuff if you want to come by!  John and Conrad and Ananth and I will be doing a live reading of some of the John Advice column and I’ll draw stuff for you and there will probably be some other cool cartoonists in attendance as well. I’ve never had a release party before and have no idea what to expect.  But I’m staying optimistic!  And anxious, that too.

Johnny Wander Vol.2 cover. The second volume of Johnny Wander has been released!  Here’s the full textless wraparound cover with a bit of the extra bleed that was cut off in the physical book print.  The book came out pretty rad lookin’, I’m really excited by how it turned out. :D You can pick up both volumes 1 and 2 at our online shop.  Special sketch editions have been temporarily discontinued until after the New Year in order to keep up with holiday shipping.  But!  All holiday book orders will receive the special sketch edition sticker, and all holiday orders will also receive SOME DINOSAUR TOYS while supplies last!  (I packaged all of them myself!)
