exquisitebeast: The Fifty-fourth Beast. The beast has become more spindly and insect-like.  The layering on its back has split from its body and created a large head ornamentation, which rattles its tail-quills when shaken.  Its sensory “eye” organs have also bifurcated. Bugs bugs bugs.  I like that its proboscises have turned into fern fronds.
