Xiong Mao and Ombre from Freaks’ Squeele.  Fanart Friday.

It’s been an age since I’ve done a Fanart Friday!  Xiong Mao and Ombre are two of the main characters from That One French Comic That I Won’t Shut Up About.  It’s become my and Ananth’s personal goals to goad either Ankama or another publisher to translate the books into English.

Florent Maudoux has quickly become one of my artistic idols over the past few years — he has an incredible grasp on action, emotion, body language, anatomy, and body types oh man. Anyway, seriously consider picking up Freaks’ Squeele if you’re fluent in French or are looking for some crazy art references.
